Tribute for a friend

A close friend of mine recently lost her grandmother at an (in my opinion) early age. Her grandmother was only in her 60's but smoke almost her whole life and needed oxygen during the last few years of her life. Anyway, my friend and her grandmother was extremely close as was my friends mother with her mother. I will give names for the sake of confusion. My friends name is Mandy. Her mothers name is Wendy and her grandmothers name is Wanda. Wanda is Wendy's mother. Wendy is Mandy's mother. Okay, so Wanda has lived with Wendy most of her life. Wendy has helped take care of her mother all these years so losing her is still so very tender. Mandy asked me to create this layout for Wendy and present to her in a frame. Wendy cried and cried while hugging my neck. Said it was extrememely special to her. I certainly hope so. :)

The big picture is of Wanda when she was about 16 years of age. The small photo is of Wendy when she was around the age of 8.

I used a Tim Holtz ornate plate for the title.
This was Pink Paislee Artisan Elements in the Swirls that I colored with Rustic glimmer glam by Tattered Angels.

My friend Mandy wanted her grandmothers obit on the layout but it was such an ackward shape that I couldn't make it fit. So I made a tag using acrylic paint and glimmer mist and attached the obit to the back. Then I tucked it away behind the photo.

The door hinges that you can barely see I used Tim Holtz Grungeboard and embossed them with Tim Holtz distress embossing powder in Aged Mahogany. I then put Patina Stickles on them.

Thank you as always for stopping by and looking! Until next time, keep scrappin'!
